as Divorce Care and GriefShare, mentoring, or interest groups
such as MOPS. Ecclesiastes 4:10 (ESV), “For if they fall, one will
lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!”

Church Mothers are even mentioned in the Bible, in
Titus 2:3-5, which says:
” They are to teach what is good and to train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, submissive to the Word of God...
Church mothers have been pillars in the family of God for generations. They instruct, serve, encourage, make peace, organize, and meet tangible needs in a variety of creative ways. Mothers can be stealthy creatures, moving in the shadows of more glorified ministries to carry out operations unnoticed until one day those services remain undone.
A church mother may be old, young, married, single, childless, or packing a full quiver. Try to imagine a church without adult women in it, and you will catch a glimpse of a church with no church mothers.

The Bible demonstrates that even God uses various "Medias" in order to communicate with man.
These Medias (burning bush, dreams, tongues of fire, etc.) are always well suited to the time and needs of the hearer.
Media is the vehicle for communication and you as Bible/Mission/Preaching/Education majors are really in the business of communication. In your particular case it is the communication of God's message to man. there is no better place to examine media than the Bible because it contains a history of the communication between God and Man as well as the various "Medias" used to accomplish it.

Phoebe was the first nurse mentioned in the Holy Bible. Commissioned by St. Paul as a deaconess serving the church, Phoebe is said to have exemplified early Christian ideals of charity and selflessness. She gave care to sick strangers, orphans and travelers under her own roof.
